3 Generations Legacy
A Legacy of Healing, Compassion & Service

For more than a century, the Sinha family has remained committed to the noble cause of serving humanity through healthcare. What began as a humble effort to care for people in rural Bihar has evolved into a three-generation legacy of healing, compassion, trust and affordable healthcare.

“Across changing times, generations and challenges, one principle has remained constant: To serve people with care, dignity and humanity.”

Founder of the Healthcare Tradition in Gidhaur & Jamui

The journey of this healthcare legacy began with Dr. Sachhidanand Prasad Sinha, who started providing healthcare services in and around Gidhaur, Jamui, Bihar, even before India gained independence.

At a time when modern healthcare facilities were scarce, particularly in rural areas, he dedicated himself to reaching patients who had limited access to medical care. He travelled to remote villages and provided treatment with compassion, commitment and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Selfless Care During Epidemics: During outbreaks of serious infectious diseases, including cholera, when rural communities faced immense suffering and fear, he went from house to house in remote villages to provide medical care, helping patients and families during one of the most difficult periods.

His work laid the foundation of a family tradition where healthcare and service to humanity became inseparable.

The values established by the first generation were carried forward by his younger son, Dr. Prafulla Kumar Sinha, popularly and affectionately known among people as Dr. Phoolan Ji.

He continued the family’s commitment to healthcare with the same spirit of dedication, simplicity and compassion. His approachable personality and commitment to providing affordable medical care earned him the trust and affection of generations of families across the region.

Deep Rural Bond & Emergency Assistance: His connection with the people went beyond the doctor-patient relationship. He remained closely associated with the healthcare needs of rural communities and continued the tradition of reaching people who needed care the most. During periods of infectious disease outbreaks and public health emergencies, he continued to extend medical assistance to people in remote areas.

Through his years of service, the second generation strengthened the foundation laid by Dr. Sachhidanand Prasad Sinha and ensured that the family’s healthcare legacy remained deeply rooted in service, accessibility and compassion.
